Position Description:

ACIDD in Maryland, an innovative leader for community support services for high functioning individuals with mild intellectual disability and co-occurring mental illness, is looking for committed team leaders to lead a group of up to three individuals towards their independence by involving them in community learning activities of their choice, by providing them skills development tools and education, by encouraging vocational skills for competitive employment and supporting their mental health needs through psychiatric rehabilitation program service, if requested, and work up to 30 hours a week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities and Duties

The team Leader is a mentor to our individuals. The individuals will look up to the team leader for guidance, education and support. The individuals ride with the team leader in his/her own car in the community with pre-structured activities between 9am and 3pm, Monday through Friday. The leader who does not have a good car and not a good driver need not apply for this position

Qualifications and Skills

Team leader should have High School Diploma. However, fresh college undergraduates are encouraged to apply. DDA trainings are mandatory. No CMT is required. Team Leader should have excellent driving record, training on defensive driving and good insurance coverage for the car.

Benefits

The Team leader is paid $14 per hour which includes mileage for gas. No separate mileage reimbursement is provided. Clear backgroung is required
